My garage has been acting up for a good 4 months now. I had a feeling one of these days it will just give up and on the back of my mind, what if it breaks while the car is about to be parked? Husband is not a handy man. The real problem - when we press the button, it closes half way until the problem got worst, we have to press the button ten times (last time I counted) before the door closes.
It did not happen as I thought it would, it just suddenly break when the garage door was opened this morning. The springs broke! I had done a couple of quotes the past 2 weeks and I came prepared of what to expect as to what the damage will be. So the two quotes were way off. Now we have to go to Home Depot To get one more quote. If I save $200 that's great, as long as it serves it's purpose, to use the garage for the cars.
Well, the garage is old, we need to new roll up ones and a silent type. It gets annoying waking up with the garage door rolling because my bedroom is on second floor. So we shall see what's out there. At least, I have a comparable quote.
When things go wrong sometimes the expected becomes unexpected. I was hoping not to fixed it yet for another six months, however, it really gets too cold and leaving the cars outside is not a great idea either. You'll never know what to expect.
