I thought we will be on the road by 9 a.m., it didn't happen. DD1 was taking her sweet time getting ready. We have a lot of errands and just as we were leaving my cousin called and scheduled to stop by later to bring her present to her godson (DS).
First stop was at DD1 & DD2s elementary school. We talked to the principal about a proposal to donate for a scholarship. DD1 had the details about the scholarship program, eligibility and requirements. It's always good to give back to this community, after all, we were treated as a family in the past. Administration, teachers and other faculty members welcomed DD1 and DD2 each time we pay a school visit. When DD1 and DD2 were in high school, each visit to this school was always a memorable one for them whether it be for a High School Information Night or a speech to the parents about a project for Sacred Heart Community Center. They always welcomed my girls to help out with their annual volleyball tournaments as line judges or referees. So next year, there will be a Farrales Scholarship to be donated to the school for a student who excels in leadership.
Second stop was at DD1 and DD2s high school. They visited their little sisters at the school. Hugs and "hellos" to everyone they know, from Principal, Dean, Counselors, faculty members and students. DD1 and DD2 were popular (not to brag about it). The community welcomed them as well. I can say that even though they both left the school, my kids still love to visit. The gratitude overwhelms me because I know the administration knows me as DD1 and DD2s mom. I was proud of them.
Next stop was DD1s Dr. appointment(rheumatolgist). She's getting better, in remission. I always pray that her disease not be active. She will still be on medications, not safe to take it out yet. Not all the blood levels are normal, in fact Hemoglobin, WBC (white blood cells) and RBC (red blood cells) are not up there yet. Disease is quiet right now which is good. She will be back for another rheumy appointment in March during Spring Break.
Last stop, we had to pick up DD3 from school. I thought we were not going to make it because of the dr. appointment. We got there on time, DD3 did not need to go to the daycare.
We were home by 12:45. Cousin stopped by around 2pm and she was so nice to bring some Chinese food for lunch. I have not had Chinese dish in a long time, that was so good. We had a good chat and wrapped up around 4pm. Then I continued my laundry duties ......
