There must be something going around. After all, it's been raining lately and I DON'T LIKE IT. DD3 went to a party last Saturday and the celebrant's Mom posted an email yesterday: "Wanted , I need some one to fill my volunteer schedule for today. I am home with two sick children." Hmmm, I wonder maybe DD3 got the germs there and all of a sudden DS just had a nasty fever which kept me up two nights in a row. DD3 missed school yesterday complaining of a sore throat with no fever. She could have gone to school, however, it is better to prevent it so she stayed at home and played all day.
This morning the sun was up, thank God! I was awake at 4:00 and just tossed and turned. I wasn't feeling well. I remember taking at least eight 500mg of vitamin C's yesterday and had about six today. It also started Sunday night, a nasty cold.
I had no choice and can't go back to sleep as I need to take the pup to the vet by 8a.m. Feeling still sick myself, I have to tag along DS who's running a fever of 102 (that's life in America). The pup is scheduled to be neutered today (poor pup). I was given so many choices, does he need a blood test? No. Extra $30 if you wanted laser, recovery is ten days as supposed to 12 days. No, he can have it the ordinary way. Lastly if he has only one ball, extra $50... ooops, he's got two. wheeew. Actually I like this vet, he will be the new one for the pup. The pup should be ready for picked up between 3-6p.m.
As I was done making lunch around 1:00 p.m. (yet again another chore even if I am sick), I thought of the pup feeling sorry for him then the phone rang. The vet called and he's ready for picked up (wow my ESP again). We decided to pick him up around 3:30 p.m. as I was watching my favorite soap.
The incision was inside so we do not need to come back in a few days to take out the stitches. Poor pup will be smelly for awhile, no bathe until Feb. 20th, can't be running around (poor DS, can't play with him) but I guess that's good in a way because pup's getting beaten up by DS. He has this plastic collar protector affixed on his neck so he cannot reach the incision area and lick it. He does not have any medicines and that's it. He was actually supposed to be neutered at the Humane Society which I scheduled last Friday to be done today. I couldn't sleep all night long Saturday as I was worried that he might get fleas at that place. I shopped for vets last Saturday can't believe how outrageous they charge for this simple procedure. This vet was the same place we've been to before, they are reasonable and the place is clean.
Now I have to hold the pup's tray near his mouth to reach his mouth when feeding and drinking water. He's been complaining not about pain but trying to get that plastic off of him. Let's see how long that plastic will be there until he figures out to dismantle it.
